Daddy has already placed Brick on a pedestal, it is merely a question of
will he fall off or not. The design places Maggie and Brick in the
throne room, a place which is hot and tempting, the center of all activity.
Supported by the servants through-out the play, Brick will come to terms
with having loved Skipper, regardless of it being pure or unpure, and ultimately,
under Maggie's persuasion, realize that the preservation of the Southern
legacy is of the most importance.
